NEW DELHI: RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat Friday said India’s rise on the global stage is “certain” but must be guided by a humane responsibility to offer the world a meaningful development model. Speaking at the Bharatiya Vigyan Sammelan 2025 in Tirupati, he said Western development had brought material prosperity but also social and ecological distress. Bhagwat stressed that the purpose of development is sukh, not mere material satisfaction, warning against inequality-driven growth. India’s progress, RSS chief said, must rest on balance, restraint and dharma.
